The laboratory

In 1998, analysing an animal's blood still meant sending it away and waiting — for a result that often came after the decision had been made. MELET SCHLOESING Laboratoires, founded twelve years earlier in human biology, set out to close that gap: give the practitioner the means to run the analysis themselves, at the animal's side, without giving up any rigour.

The approach has not changed since. Our analyzers are designed from what veterinarians tell us about their day — a blood volume you simply do not have on a kitten, a result needed before the consultation ends, a machine that has to fit on an already crowded bench. The patents came from there, not from a specification written away from the field.

Three families came out of it: haematology, immunology, biochemistry. And a ten-year warranty no one else offers on this market — because an analyzer you replace every three years is not independence, it is a subscription.
